Les passeurs d’océan
Documentary short-film, 50′
Director: Thomas Hirgorom
Executive Production: Dublin Films
Synopsis:
Michèle lives alone with two big black dogs in Ars-en-Ré. As a Saunière, she spends almost all her time in her marshes. Winter work, the glow of spring, the tons of salt to be harvested in summer, and then the delivery to the cooperative in autumn. The seasons repeat themselves, merge and the island’s cycles begin again inexorably.
Depending on the weather, the salt workers scan the sky, the land and the sea. While on the island of Ré, the tourists become more and more invasive each summer.
