Synopsis

After years in the city, Ciro returns to the Colombian Tatacoa desert when he learns that his mother is dying. In this hostile yet sublime land, where his family has lived for generations, he must confront his father, Alirio, and his first girlfriend, Ana, with whom he had a daughter he has never met. His father blames him for his refusal to accept his mother's mysterious inheritance, while Ana demands an explanation for his unexpected runaway.

Despite the tensions, Ciro accompanies Alirio into the desert to bury his mother. This arduous journey will remind him of forgotten sensations, highlight the importance of the traces of his history, and encourage him to decide on his own future, and perhaps change the destiny of the Tatacoa…
