French release of Diógenes March 13th

We are glad to announce de French release of Diógenes by Leonardo Barbuy March 13th ! It will be distributed by Bobine Films.

The film will be screened March 12th at cinéma l’Estran in Marennes for the Regard sur le cinéma d’Amérique Latine festival. The premiere is set March 13th at l’Espace Saint-Michel in Paris. Both screenings will be accompanied by the director, Leonardo Barbuy.

Synopsis
In the Peruvian Andes, two siblings are raised in isolation by their father, a Tablas de Sarhua painter who exchanges his art in the village for supplies, while his children wait for him, cared for by their dogs. A series of unexpected events will drastically transform the only reality they know and will bring Sabina, the older sister, to meet her past and her culture.

Yo vi tres luces negras nominated for the GWFF Best First Feature Award

We are glad to announce that Yo vi tres luces negras, by Santiago Lozano Álvarez in a part of the 16 feature films nominated for the GWFF Best First Feature Award at the Berlinale 2024. The award aims to support the next generation of filmmakers. It will be awarded by the jury : Eliza Hittman, Andréa Picard et Katrin Pors.

The World premiere of Yo vi tres luces negras will take place February 18, during the 74th Berlin International Film Festival in the Panorama section.

Sheol won two prices at Arkhaios Film Festival

Sheol by Arnaud Sauli won the Grand Prize at the 11th Arkhaios Cultural Heritage and Archaeology Film Festival, in the United States. The festival also gave the honorable prize for Best Archaeological film to Sheol.

Diógenes won the Audience award at FILMAR

Diógenes by Leonardo Barbuy pursues its world tour ! 

On the occasion of its Swiss Premiere, the film won the Audience award in Focus Sud section at FILMAR en América Latina Festival.

The French release will be in March 2024 with Bobine Films. 

Three new awards for Anhell69 in French festivals

Anhell69 pursues its beautiful trip in French festivals. In November, the film was selected in three new festivals.

It won the Prix Documentaire sur Grand Écran at Amiens International Film Festival, the Youth price at Escales Documentaires de La Rochelle, and recently the Documentary Jury’s Price at Chéries-Chéris Festival in Paris.

Diógenes and Anhell69 at FILMAR festival

Two Dublin Films coproductions are selected at the 25th FILMAR en América Latina Festival in Geneva.

Diógenes is in the Focus Sud selection and will be screened on November 21, 22 and 23 in the presence of the director, Leonardo Barbuy.

Anhell69 wins the SFCC Price at Cinélatino

Le SFCC Price rewards the best first or second film et permet de mettre en valeurs les nouveaux talents and the price is attributed by the jury which consists of three critics, members of the Syndicat de la critique

This year, those members of the jury were Bénédicte Prot : (journalist and film critic – Cineuropa.org, FRED.fm, Radio Néo et Culturopoing.com), Boris Szames (journalist and film critic – Doolittle Magazine, So Film et rédacteur en chef de Gonehollywood.fr) et Bruno Deruisseau (journalist and film critic – Les Inrockuptibles).
